Essential. • Device cookie (if_did): a random identifier set when you vote, used only to detect several accounts voting from one device. Essential for fair voting; kept up to 400 days. • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics), only if analytics is enabled on the Site.
2. Browser storage
When you open a request page from another website, the Site notes that site's domain in your browser's session storage so a vote can be marked as coming from an outside link. It is cleared when you close the tab.
3. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Without the session cookie you cannot sign in; downloads keep working.
