1. Summary
You can download every tool without giving us any personal data. If you create an account to request or vote, we keep the minimum needed to run the request board and stop vote fraud. We do not sell personal data.
2. What we collect
• Account: email address, display name, and either a password hash or your Google account identifier. • Requests and votes: what you request, which requests you vote for, and when. • Fraud checks: a one-way hash of your IP address and a device cookie identifier, stored with each vote. We do not store the raw IP with votes. • Downloads: a count of download clicks per tool with a hashed IP, used to detect broken links and abuse. Not linked to your account. • Technical logs kept by our hosting provider for security.
3. How we use it
• To run your account and show your requests and votes. • To weigh votes and remove fraudulent ones. • To email you when a request you requested or voted for moves to building, testing or release, and for account emails (verification, password reset). • To send the newsletter if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe from any email.
4. Legal basis (EEA/UK)
Contract: running your account. Legitimate interest: fraud prevention and site security. Consent: newsletter and non-essential cookies.
6. How long we keep it
Account data: until you delete the account. Votes and request history: kept with requests for the life of the request board, anonymised when you delete your account. Hashed download logs: 12 months.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Email support@indicatorfree.com from the address on your account.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you notice a problem.
9. Children
The Site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
